Qld teens charged over joy-ride

Three teenagers have been charged over a joy-ride in a stolen four-wheel drive south of Brisbane.

A police helicopter pursued the car from Woodridge until it was brought to a halt by tyre spikes about 10kms away at Hillcrest early on Saturday morning.

The trio allegedly jumped out and attempted to flee but were located nearby and taken into custody.

Two boys, aged 14, and a 15-year-old girl have been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
