Two girls attacked with hammers by teen intruders
AAP
Two teenage girls are recovering in hospital in north Queensland after intruders allegedly attacked them with hammers and then set fire to their home.
The intruders, believed to be a group of juveniles aged between 14 and 17, broke into the home in the Townsville suburb of Condon yesterday about 6pm.
It's alleged they assaulted the 16-year-olds, set fire to a chair and flyscreen, smashed a glass door and slashed tyres before fleeing.
