Qld teen charged over meat cleaver robbery

A teenager has been charged after he allegedly brandished a meat cleaver while attempting to rob a newsagency on the Sunshine Coast.
Police say the 17-year-old demanded money from staff at the Nambour newsagency last Friday before the staff member chased him from the store with a baseball bat.
He has been charged with attempted armed robbery and is due to face the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday.
