Qld teacher on child exploitation charges

A Brisbane state school teacher will be suspended after being charged with child exploitation.

The 54-year-old male was caught in a sting by Queensland's crime commission.

It's alleged he used a computer to access pornographic material at his Tingalpa home, which was raided by the Crime and Corruption Commission on Monday night.

The commission alleges the man was using peer-to-peer computer software to access the material.

But it says there's no evidence the man committed any offences against children he taught.

A Queensland Department of Education spokesman told AAP it "has taken action to suspend" the teacher but did not name the school where he is employed.

The man will face Wynnum Magistrates Court on October 10.
