A Gold Coast tattooist has been granted bail after facing court on more than a dozen serious drug possession charges.

Peter Andrew Giani, 49, made a brief appearance at Southport Magistrates Court charged with 13 counts of possessing a dangerous drug.

Giani was charged on Monday after police raided his Varsity Lakes home and his tattoo parlour in Mudgeeraba.

Police prosecutors didn't oppose bail and Giani was ordered to reappear on March 26.

Another man, 48, who was arrested in Monday's raid did not appear in court on Tuesday.

The younger man is facing a charge of possessing a dangerous drug and was also wanted on a failure to appear warrant relating to a 2004 charge of entering a premises with intent.
