Qld students to sit NAPLAN tests
AAP
More than 200,000 Queensland school students are about to start three days of nation-wide NAPLAN tests.
Education Minister Kate Jones says 235,000 year 3, 5 and 7 students will take part in the NAPLAN tests, starting Tuesday morning.
Ms Jones is hoping the state's school students will repeat last year's record efforts.

"I know our teachers and young people have a genuine commitment to learning," Ms Jones said in a statement.
"Alongside regular report cards and in-class assessments, NAPLAN complements the work teachers undertake in the classroom."
Language conventions and writing tests will be held on Tuesday, reading on Wednesday and numeracy on Thursday.
