Qld robbers take tills, fail to open ATM

A couple who rammed an Ipswich grocery store with their SUV have failed to bash open an ATM but still escaped with several shop tills of cash.

Queensland police say the solid man and the thin woman attempted to open the ATM with a sledgehammer early on Monday morning at Bundamba.

The pair then entered an office within the Naomi Street store, took the tills and drove off in their vehicle.
