Qld 'road rage' death case adjourned

The New Zealand-born man charged with murder over the death of another man during a roadside scuffle alongside a Brisbane motorway has had his case adjourned until April.

Tamate Henry Heke was charged with murder after allegedly pushing Shane Merrigan, 50, into the path of an oncoming truck as the pair faced off on the roadside at Eight Mile Plains in December.

The father-of-three did not appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday when his case was adjourned until April 18.

The court ordered a full brief of evidence including an autopsy report and scientific material be provided about a month earlier for consideration.
