Qld 'rapist' stabbed in face with car keys

A would-be rapist has facial injuries after his victim managed to fight him off by stabbing him with her car keys.

The 28-year-old woman was walking along Riverview Terrace at Indooroopilly, in Brisbane's West, when she was grabbed from behind about 8.30pm on Saturday.

Police say the man forced her to the ground and started pulling at her clothes.

The woman punched him several times, stabbing him in the face with her keys, before fleeing.

The attacker is described as about 180cm tall with a skinny build, short brown curly hair and was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.

Police are calling for anyone who knows a man with unexplained facial injuries to contact Crime Stoppers.
