Qld 'racist rant' teenager breaches bail

A Queensland teenager who shot to internet infamy after being filmed racially abusing a train guard has breached his bail conditions by attending schoolies week.

Abdel-Kader Russell-Boumzar, 17, surrendered to police last month after footage of the incident was uploaded online, prompting widespread condemnation including one from Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

During his five-minute expletive-laden tirade, Russell-Boumzar told security guard Josphat Mkhwananzi to "learn some English" after being asked to take his feet off the train's seats on the Ipswich line.

Last month, he was granted bail on the condition he live in Paddington with his parents, who needed to accompany him out of the house except when he attended work.

Russell-Boumzar was also ordered to abide by a curfew and report to police three times a week.

He appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday after being discovered by police at schoolies week celebrations on the Gold Coast on November 22.

The teenager pleaded guilty to breaching bail and being drunk in a public place, and was fined $350.

His case returns to court on December 8.
