Qld premier insists on DV leave change

Queensland's premier will put pressure on state-owned corporations to adopt a government policy to allow domestic violence victims to take up to 10 days special leave a year.

Annastacia Palaszczuk on Thursday responded to reports that some government-owned corporations have been reluctant to adopt the policy, which was one of the key recommendations in Dame Quentin Bryce's Not Now, Not Ever report into domestic and family violence.

"I firmly believe that they should follow the rest of government and implement that leave and we are working with them on that," Ms Palaszczuk said.
