Qld police yet to retrieve dead pilot

Police are yet to retrieve the body of a pilot killed in a light plane crash in central Queensland.
Rob Pavan, 60, left Gympie on Saturday morning on the way to a friend's 60th birthday party at Biloela but only made it 39km north before crashing into a mountain plateau.
The scattered debris of Mr Pavan's Jabiru plane was discovered by a farmer in rugged terrain on Monday.

His body was found on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said on Wednesday investigators were still to retrieve the body and the cause of the crash remained unknown.
Tributes have been posted on the Facebook page for the Gympie Aero Club, of which Mr Pavan was a member.
"So Sorry. R.I.P.Rob. Lovely to have met you," reads one message.
