Qld police still hunting paramedic stabber
A woman accused of stabbing a Queensland paramedic with a box cutter last week is believed to still be on Fraser Island.
Police say the woman hasn't been picked up by a checkpoint on the mainland so it's likely she's still on the island.
It's alleged the woman stabbed the paramedic, who was taken to a Brisbane hospital for treatment, after attempting to force him to hand over drugs.
He suffered cuts to his arm and passed out after being stabbed in the stomach at the Happy Valley ambulance station.
A forensic team examined the crime scene and officers conducted door knocks of the area on the weekend.
A Queensland police spokesman said there had been very few phone calls through to Crime Stoppers, making the search harder.
