Qld police shooting man wakes from coma

A man who was shot in the head by Queensland police has woken from a coma.
The man, who was shot after allegedly driving at police last month, remains in hospital in a serious condition, but he's out of intensive care.
The 29-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to the head and arm when police opened fire after going to a property at Rochedale, in Brisbane's south, to investigate the theft of a trailer and ride-on mower.

The shooting is subject to a police ethical standards command investigation.
