Qld parents to be polled on NAPLAN

Queenslanders are being urged to have their say on the controversial NAPLAN testing system, amid concerns they leave young students stressed.

Education Minister Grace Grace is conducting a state-wide evaluation of the literacy and numeracy tests and has also been pushing for a national review, amid claims the system has had unintended outcomes.

"I have been constantly approached by parents, principals and teachers about their concerns with the NAPLAN tests," the minister said on Wednesday as she urged parents to complete a survey on their experience of the tests.
