Qld paramedic assault accused gets bail

A French tourist charged with assaulting a female paramedic in north Queensland has been granted bail.

Timothee Leon Laurent Rousselle, 21, is accused of punching the paramedic in the face and dragging her out the side of the ambulance outside a Cairns backpackers early on Wednesday morning.

Rousselle, who is charged with seriously assaulting a public officer, was granted bail in Cairns Magistrates Court on Thursday and had his case adjourned to October 20.
