Qld pair arrested over drugs and weapons

Two men will face court after a police raid uncovered a drugs and a makeshift bomb and led to police exploding a suspicious device north of Brisbane.

Police say they raided the Scarborough property around 10.20am on Wednesday and found methamphetamines, a taser, ammunition, and the homemade explosive.

Bomb squad specialists destroyed the bomb on Wednesday night after police had evacuated the area.

A 32-year-old man was charged with 19 drug and weapons charges and was due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on Thursday.

A 31-year-old man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and set to face the same court on July 10.
