Qld one-punch victim in stable condition

An Ipswich man who was punched in the back of the head is out of intensive care, while his accused attacker remains behind bars.

The 56-year-old was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries last week, but he's now in a stable condition.

The man charged with the attack, 19-year-old Ariik Mayot, has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on July 22.
