Queensland officer stood down amid excessive force allegations

A senior Brisbane police officer has been suspended following allegations of excessive force and inappropriately using his powers while off duty.
Queensland Police say the 38-year-old male officer is being investigated for inappropriately exercising police powers while off duty and failing to comply with obligations under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act.

The officer was stood down on Thursday.
