Qld murder accused to have bedside hearing

A hospitalised man charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a woman at her home in north Queensland is set to have a bedside hearing.
The 36-year-old man, who was known to the woman, was arrested and taken to Townsville Hospital for treatment for an arm injury after police were called to the unit block just before 11pm on Saturday.
At the unit in Idalia, police found the 32-year-old woman with serious stab wounds and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was charged with one count of murder on Sunday and will appear in a bedside hearing on Monday.
