Alleged Mongols mastermind faces court

The alleged Queensland president of the Mongols bikie gang accused of masterminding a huge drug syndicate will stay behind bars until July.

Nick "The Knife" Forbes, 45, did not apply for bail when he appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.

Forbes is facing multiple charges including drug trafficking after being arrested in the culmination of an 18-month investigation on Tuesday that saw raids across 50 properties in the state's southeast.

Ten patched members were charged with drug trafficking, with police to allege they were each selling $100,000 worth of ice a week.

More than 100 people have been charged, including the alleged 26-year-old treasurer and its 29-year-old enforcer of the Mongols' Queensland chapter, by the anti-bikie taskforce.

Forbes' lawyer said his client would apply for bail when his matter returns to court on July 9.
