Qld mentally ill at risk from govt policy

Queensland's government is set to unveil disturbing evidence indicating state policies are forcing the mentally ill into homelessness.
The Queensland Mental Health Commission report, due to be released in July, details how state housing policies intended to manage antisocial behaviour are actually forcing mentally ill tenants onto the streets.
Housing and Public Works Minister Leeanne Enoch says the report is particularly scathing of the former government's blanket three strikes policy, where public and social tenants are kicked out of their homes if they are warned three times in 12 months.
