Qld man retrieved from cave after fall

A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling almost 10 metres down an outback Queensland cave.
The man became trapped at the bottom of the Camooweal Caves, north west of Mount Isa, after plunging to the bottom on Friday afternoon.
He was treated by a paramedic for a serious leg injury after the RACQ North Queensland Rescue Helicopter attended the scene.

Specialist Queensland Fire and Rescue Service officers worked for more than six hours to retrieve the patient.
The chopper could not land in Mount Isa due to thunderstorm activity and was forced to land in Camooweal, the man was taken from there to Mount Isa Hospital in a stable condition.
