Qld man 'planned to abuse unborn child'

A man accused of promising to send a stranger on the internet explicit pictures of his unborn child once it was born is now sleeping on the streets after his wife kicked him out.

Chef Ashley David Hill, 23, allegedly promised to send abusive pictures of his child, who wasn't even born at the time, to an undercover FBI agent in the US posing as a pedophile.

Hill, who was arrested by Australian Federal Police in January, has been charged with using a carriage service for child pornography material and three counts of possessing child pornography.

His lawyer, Nick Hanly, told Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday his client was having trouble meeting his bail requirements because he was sleeping on the street.

"It is alleged that he sent correspondence to an FBI agent involving he and his wife's unborn child and a picture of a sonograph," Mr Hanly said.

"His wife has understandably left him.

"He has handed across all of his assets to her and he has been left homeless."

Hill had allegedly sent and received child pornography to another person via the internet and sent the sonograph to indicate his willingness to send pictures of his child once it was born.

Magistrate John McGrath changed Hill's bail conditions so he would have to report daily to West End police station instead of having to live at a particular address.

The matter was adjourned until May 14.
