A second man charged with the stabbing murder of a man outside a pub west of Brisbane has appeared in court after a month on the run.

Kye Enright, 21, was arrested on Wednesday following a dramatic chase involving a police helicopter.

He was charged with the murder of 53-year-old Oakey man Paul Rock, who was killed at Plainland in the Lockyer Valley on July 1.

Officers spotted Enright in the Logan suburb of Holmview on Wednesday. He sped off, forcing police to chase him.

He was arrested not long afterwards in the nearby suburb of Heritage Park, ending a month on the run.

Police had earlier made numerous appeals for information on his whereabouts.

He faced Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with murder, armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and supplying dangerous drugs.

Enright, who was supported by two women in the public gallery, made no bail application and was remanded in custody during a brief mention.

The matter was adjourned to Ipswich Magistrates Court on August 7.

His lawyer did not comment outside court.

Detectives previously charged a 26-year-old man in relation to Mr Rock's death.
