Qld man critical after fight

A man is facing assault charges after another was left with critical injuries following a fight on the Gold Coast.
Police say a 27-year-old man is in critical condition in Gold Coast University Hospital after the fight in Southport on Tuesday afternoon.
A 23-year-old Southport man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is due to face the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
