Qld man charged with shaking infant boy

A baby is in a critical condition after allegedly being shaken by a man.

The five-month-old boy has been in hospital since June 23 when he was found unresponsive at a home at Bundamba, west of Brisbane.

He has multiple serious injuries which police say are consistent with being shaken.

A 23-year-old Lockrose man was charged on Tuesday with grievous bodily harm.

He is not related to the child, but is known to the family, and will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
