Qld man charged with raping child

A man has been charged with raping a child in Cairns.
The 40-year-old was charged with three counts of rape on Wednesday after the child was assaulted in Manunda earlier in the week, police say.
He is due to appear in Cairns Magistrate Court on Thursday.
