Qld man charged with historic child abuse

A man has been arrested after allegedly sexually abusing a girl on the Gold Coast for almost seven years.
The 54-year-old Biggera Waters man allegedly started abusing the girl in 2013 when she was just six, and continued until early this year.
He was charged on Monday with six counts of indecent treatment of a child under 12 and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
