Qld man charged with attempted murder

A Queensland man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged crossbow attack north of Brisbane.

Police say a 40-year-old man has been hospitalised with puncture wounds to his chest and arm, allegedly caused by an arrow shot from a compound bow at a house in Lawnton on Tuesday afternoon.

A 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is due to appear at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder.
