Qld man allegedly held up servo with a gun

A man allegedly held up a Gold Coast service station with a gun after evading police and crashing into two cars.

It's alleged the man was driving erratically at Southport and sped away from police before colliding with the vehicles and leaving the scene of the crash.

The man then allegedly held up a service station with a gun and demanded cigarettes, but was arrested as soon as he left.

A man, 28, will face the Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday on a string of charges, including armed robbery and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
