Qld man, 72, charged with shooting at cops

A 72-year-old man will face court after allegedly shooting at police in Brisbane.

Police allege the man locked himself in a shed at Cassia Court at Capalaba, in Brisbane's southeast, about 4pm on Thursday and later fired two shots at police who attended the scene.

He surrendered about 7.50pm and will face Cleveland Magistrates Court on Friday on charges including serious assault of police, dangerous conduct with a weapon and unlawful possession of a rifle.
