A Queensland fake driver's licence scam has no links to terrorism, the state's anti-corruption body says.

A public servant in the Department of Transport and Main Roads is being investigated for allegedly issuing driver's licences to people who knowingly gave false or misleading information during their application.

The Crime and Corruption Commission is also investigating whether existing licence holders were given inappropriate upgrades to their licence class.

But no link to terrorist activity has been uncovered.

"The CCC's investigation is not focused on links to terrorism," it said in a statement.

A casual employee of the department allegedly issued more than 60 fraudulent licences in return for individual $1000 payments, the Courier-Mail says.

The licences were genuine but had fake details.
