A man accused of contracting the murder of a Gold Coast woman's ex-husband for $20,000 is expected to apply for bail a second time.

Steven William Gordon, 48, was denied bail in the Brisbane Magistrates Court in December over fears he may interfere with a witness and noting a strong prosecution case against him.

Gordon is alleged to have offered two hitmen money and a gun with orders to kill Theresa Dalton's former husband.

The 48-year-old has been in custody since being charged with conspiracy to murder.

Dalton, also known as Theresa Stewart, has also been charged with the same offence.

Gordon is due to apply for bail in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Thursday.
