Qld gunmen bash woman in car

Two gunmen are on the run after bashing a woman as she sat in her car south of Brisbane.

The men, who police say were armed with firearms, hit the victim in the head, through the window of her car, outside a Kingston house early on Tuesday.

A relative of the woman came out of the house to help but she was chased back inside, and the men then tried to break into the property.

The attackers later fled in a four-wheel drive, sparking a police chase, but they got away.

The victim is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries as the manhunt continues.
