Qld gunman charged after standoff

A 30-year-old man has been charged after a ten-hour standoff with police at his rural southeast Queensland property.

The man was spotted by police with a rifle at Crossdale property in the Brisbane Valley region on Tuesday morning and was found later that day in bushland with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

He will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday on five charges.
