Qld graziers lose bid to stop coal mine
AAP
A Queensland farming couple say they will continue to fight to save their groundwater despite losing a court bid to stop the development of the Kevin's Corner coal mine in the Galilee Basin.
The Land Court on Tuesday recommended the state government approve GVK Hancock's mining lease after graziers Bruce and Annette Currie unsuccessfully argued against it.
"Today's decision reflects what every farmer already knows - the system fails to protect our water resources from mining," Mr Currie said.
