Qld govt to consider developer donor ban

Acting Premier Jackie Trad says the Queensland government will consider Speaker Peter Wellington's request to ban developer donations.

Mr Wellington wrote to Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk earlier this week calling for a change to the state's electoral donations laws to exclude developers and force political parties to reveal campaign donations immediately.

"The government will respond in due course to the requests made by Peter Wellington, including the banning of developer donations and also ... the online real-time disclosure of donations," Ms Trad said on Wednesday.
