Qld govt gives extra school preps support

Every school in Queensland will now have a full-time teacher's aide in their prep classroom, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says.

Ms Palaszczuk said the 2017/18 budget measure would deliver an extra 100 teacher's aides to provide additional classroom support across the state.

The announcement was made in response to feedback from teachers who had campaigned for extra help, she said on Thursday.

"I've had a lot of teachers telling me that what they need is more in-time classroom support from the teacher aides," she added.

"Every prep teacher across our state will (now) have that assistance of a full-time teacher aide."
