Qld gets budget of 'tricks, raids': LNP

Queensland's opposition has lashed Labor's "budget of tricks and raids".

Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg says the budget handed down on Tuesday will leave the state worse off in every way.

"This is a budget of tricks and raids," the Liberal National Party leader said. "This is about artful manipulation by the Palaszczuk government in Queensland."

Mr Springborg said the budget forecast higher unemployment, weakening jobs growth and slowing economic growth.

He predicted the state deficit and total debt would increase and accused the government of raiding public servants' superannuation and long service leave entitlements.

"It's absolutely impossible to manipulate a set of circumstances when you rob Peter to pay Paul and someone doesn't have to pay for it in the future," the opposition leader said.

Mr Springborg said Labor had not been upfront with its financial plans during the January election, making no mention of redirecting superannuation.

The opposition likened Labor's $180 million investment in innovation with its Advance Queensland plan and the introduction of social benefit bonds, or pay-by-results contracts for delivering social services.

Mr Springborg also applauded the government's new portal for considering unsolicited private sector proposals for infrastructure projects.
