Qld 'ecstasy dealer' caught at schoolies

Police have arrested a man who was allegedly caught with a stash of ecstasy tablets near schoolies week celebrations.

The 20-year-old came to the attention of officers near the schoolies hub in Surfers Paradise at 11pm on Wednesday.

He was charged with supplying and possessing a dangerous drug after a search allegedly uncovered a stash of 38 ecstasy tablets.

The man was also charged with receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying.

He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on December 15.
