QUEENSLAND'S CYCLONE AND FLOOD EMERGENCY:

- 100 properties in Yeppoon and Rockhampton deemed uninhabitable after rapid damage assessments

- 1500 homes suffered structural damage

- Over 50,000 properties still without electricity, including 37,000 in the Rockhampton city area

- 1800 powerlines down in central Queensland

- Ergon Electricity has boosted its field crew contingent from 500 to 800

- National disaster recovery funding activated for the Rockhampton, Livingstone and Banana Shire Regional Council areas

- Banana Shire Mayor Ron Carige has estimated as many as 400 properties in his region may have been inundated by floodwaters

- Gympie is isolated by floodwaters with the Mary River reaching 16.6m, inundating 19 businesses but no homes

- SES has had more than 6100 calls for help statewide since the wild weather began

- People needing help can call the Community Recovery Hotline is 1800 173 349 for advice or support

- Queensland Health has urged people not to enter floodwaters unless necessary, warning of the risk of skin infections

- Rockhampton Airport remains closed to the public but is being used for defence arrivals and departures

- All hospitals are fully open and operational.
