Qld cop suspended for misuse of computer

A Queensland policeman has been suspended after he was convicted for misusing a restricted computer.
The 52-year-old senior constable was sentenced to two months' prison, suspended for 18 months.
The officer had been previously stood down when he was charged with the offence, a Queensland Police Service spokesman said on Thursday.

He has appealed the court-imposed sentence.
Police said an assessment of the officer's suitability to remain in the service will be determined following the outcome of the appeal.
