Qld cop stood down over DUI allegation

A Queensland sergeant who was issued with a notice to appear in court, after allegedly drink driving, has been stood down.

The 54-year-old man, from the Education and Training Command, had allegedly driven while intoxicated in July 2015 when he was off duty.

He is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on April 14, having been handed the notice to appear on Tuesday and stood down on Friday.
