Qld cop stood down for 'excessive force'

A Brisbane police sergeant has been stood down from duty over claims he used excessive force.

The male officer, 51, was stood down on Friday so a disciplinary investigation can take place.

"This does not mean that the allegations against the officers have been substantiated," a police statement said, without detailing the allegations.
