Qld cop punched in face in assault

A man has punched a policeman in the face several times and thrown a female officer to the ground in Townsville, officers say.
The female officer suffered a serious shoulder injury and the attacker was only restrained after wrestling with the policeman on the ground.
The 29-year-old man has been charged with two counts of serious assault police and is due to front the Townsville Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
