Qld cop charged over information release

A Queensland detective will face court for allegedly releasing confidential information without lawful reason.
The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) alleges the 48-year-old Senior Sergeant from the State Crime Command accessed the Queensland Police Service database and twice provided information to a third party.
He's due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 4.
