AAP
A north Queensland policeman has been charged for the improper use of a Taser while off duty this month.
The 31-year-old constable was Tuesday issued with a notice to appear in the Atherton Magistrates Court on February 9 for possession of the Category R weapon between January 11 and 14.
Police say the officer is the subject of an internal investigation into his improper use a conducted energy weapon while off duty.
