Qld carer granted bail over abuse charges

A Queensland after-school carer has been granted bail after appearing in court on child exploitation charges.

The 38-year-old man faced the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday, a day after he was charged with five counts of possessing child exploitation material.

He was granted bail under the conditions he doesn't go near an educational facility, access the internet or have unsurprised contact with children under 16.

A computer and a number of devices containing child exploitation material were found at the man's home which was raided on Tuesday, the Crime and Corruption Commission has alleged.

The man, who was working at an after-hours childcare facility at a primary school in the Wide Bay-Burnett region, will again face court on December 10.
