Qld ambo assaulted in Airport Link tunnel

A man has been charged after allegedly assaulting an ambulance officer as he was being taken to hospital in Brisbane.

Police say the 22-year-old punched the officer with a closed fist in the Airport Link tunnel on Friday night, after officers had stopped the ambulance due to the man's violent behaviour.

He's expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday after being charged with serious assault of a public officer and assault or obstruct police.
